I have not had an abortion but my heart
truly goes out to all of you who have had to make that decision. I am a
first time author of a book about a young girl who faces that decision and another
woman who shares her story of abortion. Because I want my story to be realistic
and heart mending not PREACHY, I am requesting that this letter be added to this
website and anyonewho feels like sharing their experience e-mail me about some
of your feelings about your abortion. I promise you your names and or other identifying
info will NEVER be mentioned. Your stories will be used as background research
for my character so she will be able to portray real feelings about her experience
that will hopefully help those who read my book if it is ever published. Karen G.

P.S. This is my first time writing something that I am going to try and get
published. I am a second grade teacher who is home on short term disability due
to health problems and writing is helping me get through everything. I had an
idea for a book that kept pulling at me. It involves abortion, pregnancy, childbirth
and friendship. I have not experienced pregnancy, childbirth, or abortion.

I was involved in the floods in Eastern NC in Sept and lost everything. I would
