I said that I loved you

I said that I loved you

I should've listened!

Something said that it wasn't meant to last.
And then that day came true.
I didn't know how to feel.
Didn't you want this to be real?

That was the last that I saw of you.
Had you planned all of this out?
And then it's over, as fast as it started.
Things don't need to be like this, It can work out.

It wasn't supposed to be like this, why do things have to change?

Love is something that is said too often.
Others don't understand what it means.
Value the one you are with.
Even if it means to share your dreams
Don't let time slip away.

You're the one I want to be with.
Others just don't compare.
Understand the one that you love, love the one you are with.
