"The Big Lie about Estrogen"

Currently 75,000 pregnant mares are given the opportunity to aid in the production of the totally unnecessary prescription drug, Premarin. This estrogen drug, which is the most lucrative drug in our country today, is prescribed for women in menopause. It is manufactured from the urine of lactating mares. Here's how:

The pregnant mares stand tethered in darkened stalls, catheterized for the collection of their estrogen-rich urine. The helpless mares cannot lie down or even turn around. Their legs become raw from the rubber bags that are fitted to them. Once the foal is born, it is sacrificed to slaughter for human consumption in other countries. The mares are re-impregnated and forced to endure the torture over and over again for the rest of their days!

To the pharmaceutical industry this means money. The suffering of the urine donors in no way justifies the expense of finding a better way of collecting the urine.

Public Awareness - In the Spotlight

The sort of perversion described above can take place only in the darkness of public ignorance. We can save horses through educating the thousands of women who take the drug, as to how Premarin is produced, the suffering that is involved, and about the alternative: natural progesterone. Doctors also need to be educated about the benefits of natural progesterone to balance estrogen. Bear in mind, however, that natural products which cut too deeply into pharmaceutical profits will frequently be subjected to orchestrated ridicule and, if that doesn't work, legal action.

Since the pharmaceutical companies supply one-third of all the funding for the medical schools in our country, doctors are taught to use synthetic drugs. Progesterone is a natural product, which the pharmaceutical companies cannot patent; thus they will never promote.

What is Natural Progesterone Cream?
